How to install Google chrome in Kali Linux

Step 1:
visit Google chrome browser homepage or google it & click Download Chrome


Step 2:
Choose the appropriate package i have 64 bit so i choose to download 64 bit .ded & Accept and start to download.



Step 3:
 Navigate to the location where you have downloaded the package & use the following cmd  dpkg -i filename.deb  (i.e) dpkg -i chrome.deb
 Note: Type the correct filename

Step 4:
Wait till it completes to setup the package.Now drag & drop iceweasel icon


Step 5: 
 Now goto Properties and change
Name to Google Chrome
command to google-chrome
 Note : Name can be whatever you like but command should be google-chrome only



To Change the Icon:
Click on the icon & navigate to the File System > opt > google > chrome

 Now Select the logo

Note:To Fix to run Google Chrome to run as root.Do the Following Steps :
  • Navigate to File System > opt > google > chrome
  • Now Edit google-chrome file and add --user-data-dir at the end. [see the below Images]
